Having entered
VALORANT this year directly in
Challengers Japan,
AGELITE are using the break between Split 1 and Split 2 to make roster changes. Yoo "
Moothie" Seung-woo and “
fukukeN” are expected to join the Japanese organization, replacing Shin "
Jan" Dong-yeop and “
Yamada”, sources told
Sheep Esports.
Already benched by the team, Yamada is therefore set to make way for another Japanese player, fukukeN. Primarily an Initiator player, especially known for Breach, he has been active on the local scene since 2024. After stints with FAV Gaming and later Delight, he has not consistently competed in VCL Japan itself, mostly playing below that level while occasionally winning promotion tournaments into the league.
A known name for AGELITE
fukukeN joins this new project alongside Moothie, a South Korean player replacing another following Jan’s benching. Moothie previously played for T1 Academy in 2025, winning Stage 3 of Challengers Korea and securing two third-place finishes in the other splits that year. He was eventually sidelined and only appeared in a small mix team at the start of the year, without competing in VCL Korea or Japan in 2026.
Also mainly an Initiator player, Moothie has significant experience in Challengers Japan outside of his time with T1 Academy. He began competing in the league as early as 2021 with LAG Gaming, before playing for Northeption and Crest Gaming Zst in 2023 and 2024. He is now set to return to a league he knows well as part of a new project.
Previously active in 2022, notably in Rocket League, AGELITE returned in 2026 with an influencer-driven lineup focused solely on VALORANT. In its first split, the Japanese organization won only one of its five matches and finished in 7th–8th place.
