To kick off the month, Riot Games unveiled the gameplay trailer for Senna on Monday, June 2. Drawn from its hit MOBA
League of Legends, the Sentinel of Light is the newest addition to
2XKO, the developer's latest title. Scheduled to release on June 9, Senna becomes the fighting game's fourteenth character and the third champion added in 2026, after Riot announced back in January that five champions would be released this year.
Released alongside
2XKO's Season 1 launch, Caitlyn was the first champion added in 2026, followed by Akali in early April. Looking ahead, another champion from the Shadow Isles, one of Runeterra's regions in Riot Games' lore, could be on the way thanks to an audio and visual teaser shown at the end of Senna's gameplay presentation. While the community is not entirely convinced, speculation is currently split between Thresh and Viego. A release later in 2026 would make sense, with
two more characters expected to join the roster over the next six months.
Just like her counterpart on Summoner's Rift, Senna can switch between her human form and her Wraith form. In her human form, wielding the Relic Cannon, she primarily excels at ranged combat. Classified as a
Zoner, Senna can also transform into a Wraith, causing her weapon to disappear and shifting her playstyle toward close-range combat, allowing her to pressure opponents up close.
That said, she can still engage at close range while using the Relic Cannon, although this form is clearly better suited for fighting from a distance. As for her ultimate, it draws inspiration from her League of Legends kit. An opponent is first rooted by souls emerging from the ground and grabbing their legs, before Senna, in her Wraith form, unleashes a massive beam of energy at her target.
