The second set of
Riftbound, Riot Games’
League of Legends Runeterra trading card game, titled
Spiritforged,
will go on sale, in preorder, for its English version on Monday, January 12, 2026. Announced last August following the release of the Chinese edition of
Origins, the first TCG collection,
Spiritforged will spotlight MOBA Champions with Spirit Blossom skins, a thematic line that has been available in-game since 2020.
Priced at 120 dollars before shipping, Display Boxes (which contain 24 boosters) are set at the same price point as Origins and are expected to sell out within minutes. For these preorder waves, Riot Games is offering a limited online stock, aiming to drive collectors and players toward local hobby stores, which it also relies on to support and grow its competitive community. In addition to the Display Box, Spiritforged will also launch two Champion Decks, one featuring Irelia and one featuring Rumble, each sold at a unit price of 20 dollars.
Two Champion Decks for Spiritforged
Each Champion Deck, designed as an entry point into the game, includes a premade Rumble deck, one Spiritforged Booster Pack, one paper deckbox, and one paper playmat. Beyond these ready-to-play products, Riot Games will also resume sales of Bulk Rune Boxes at 20 dollars, containing 324 runes in total, the equivalent of 54 of each of the six types. These runes form the backbone of Riftbound: they structure the core mechanics, define card interactions, and shape the full range of possible strategies.
The French edition, revealed in early December, still does not have a confirmed release date for
Spiritforged or for
Origins, beyond a generic “mid-2026” launch window.
After
Spiritforged, Riot has already laid out
the rest of its 2026 roadmap.
Unleashed, which spotlights Vi, Rengar, Master Yi, and LeBlanc in its first teaser image, is scheduled for release in the second quarter of the year, between April and June. The fourth set,
Vendetta, featuring Mel, Ambessa, and Akali, is planned for Q3, between July and September. Finally, the fifth and final collection of 2026,
Radiance, is expected to release between October and December.
