The regular season of
LEC Versus is gradually approaching its conclusion. At the end of this third week of competition, a few teams have already secured qualification for the playoffs, while others have been eliminated or are close to exiting the race. Once again, the LEC delivered its share of surprises and standout individual performances.
To highlight these displays, Sheep Esports’ Team of the Week — with a maximum of two players per team — features Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan in the toplane, Martin "Yike" Sundelin in the jungle, Tim "Nemesis" Lipovšek in the midlane, Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon as AD Carry, and Alan "Busio" Cwalina as support. For his two standout performances this week, Yike has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the week.
Toplaner: Naak Nako
In his second appearance in our Team of the Week this season, Naak Nako faced little debate after delivering two strong performances against Karmine Corp and GIANTX, securing two victories for his team. Despite the loss to G2 Esports, he remained the player who troubled the reigning LEC champions the most, with a Rumble pick that put Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik and his teammates under sustained pressure.
Jungler: Yike (MVP)
Despite Karmine Corp’s defeat to Team Vitality, Yike earns our MVP of the week on the back of his other two performances. First, he delivered the expected impact with Dr. Mundo, leaving Fnatic with no room to respond in an almost perfect game. His most striking showing, however, came on Jayce against Shifters, where he claimed MVP honors and finished the game with an 8.8k gold lead over Mehdi "Boukada" Lahlou — the largest individual gold differential in LEC history.
Midlaner: Nemesis
Los Ratones secured two prestigious and unexpected victories against G2 Esports and Movistar KOI, reigniting their playoff hopes. Unsurprisingly, Nemesis was one of the key architects of this resurgence for the former
NLC and EMEA Masters champions. With two strong performances on Orianna and Anivia, well supported by his teammates’ combinations, Nemesis keeps alive the prospect of what would be a historic qualification for LR.
AD Carry: Ice
Despite notable performances from Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság, Team Heretics’ AD carry surpassed expectations this week. After recording two pentakills in a single game last week, Ice repeated the feat with another this week to close out the match against Karmine Corp Blue. He then followed up with a highly convincing showing against Movistar KOI, dominating the opposing botlane.
Support: Busio
Across three games on Alistar this week, Busio did not begin under the best circumstances with a loss to Team Vitality. He recovered strongly, however, delivering two near-flawless performances against Fnatic — earning MVP honors in the process — and against Shifters. His partnership with Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert continues to gain momentum week after week and is establishing itself as one of, if not the, strongest botlane in Europe.
