Sources: FlyQuest have reached a verbal agreement to sign sleepers in VCL NA

According to sources close to Sheep Esports, FlyQuest have reached a verbal agreement to sign sleepers, a mix competing in the VALORANT Challengers League: North America since the start of the year. The North American organization has already been active on Riot Games’ FPS since 2023, but only in Game Changers with FlyQuest RED, a roster that notably qualified for the GC Championship 2024.

Created for the VCL NA qualifier at the beginning of 2026, sleepers did not falter once, winning every match to secure qualification while dropping only a single map in the grand final. After reaching the Tier 2 level of North American VALORANT, the group kept its momentum going, finishing the group stage with four wins and one loss to secure a playoff berth in second place.

They first defeated NRG Esports 2-0 before being sent to the lower bracket in the next round by Shopify Rebellion Black. With their backs against the wall, sleepers won their first elimination series against M80n before falling to SaD Esports in the lower bracket semifinal.

It marks a strong first run for a roster made up of relatively inexperienced players. Built on the foundation of a previous mix called happy esports, “sorex”, “Leo”, and “ducq” had been playing together since the end of summer 2025, with “who” already serving as coach. The latter is also the only member with prior experience at this level, having previously worked in VCL NA with YFP and QoR as an analyst before transitioning to coaching in August for this new project. While the trio had already spent several months in Tier 3, playing various mixes in tournaments or through the Premier mode, “tonza” and “solada”, who complete the roster, have also only recorded matches at the same level.

According to statistics from this first split in the antechamber of VCT Americas, ducq, usually playing Initiators, and solada on Clove appear to be the driving forces of the project, with a kill-death ratio of 1.28 and an ACS (average combat score) of 250, respectively, across more than 400 rounds played in 2026. The roster is completed by sorex, who is mainly active on Sentinels or on Viper, while Leo and tonza share the Duelist agents.
