A complete change of scenery awaits
PCIFIC Esports heading into the 2026
VALORANT season. Thrust into VCT EMEA after finishing as
one of the two Ascension 2025 winners, the organization enters the franchized league under unusual circumstances: the Ascension-winning roster from 2025 will
compete under the BBL Esports banner in 2026, forcing PCIFIC to rebuild their project entirely and re-establish a competitive foundation from scratch.
To launch this new cycle, PCIFIC have assembled a brand-new five with Mehmet
“cNed” Yağız İpek, Johan
“seven” Hernandez, Patryk
“NINJA” Koczyba, Mateja
“qpert” Mijovic, and Felix
“al0rante” Brandl. The decision reflects an immediate priority, putting together a coherent core that can be operational from the opening fixtures, despite the lack of continuity with the roster that secured
promotion in 2025.
Unlike many teams that refine an existing core, PCIFIC will primarily need to build synergies, define role distribution, and shape a clear in-game identity within a compressed timeframe, with the added challenge of stepping directly into a significantly more demanding EMEA environment.
A new identity to build in EMEA
In that context, the signing of cNed provides an obvious reference point for the project: an experienced profile, accustomed to tier-one competition as Duelist, and well-suited to serve as an anchor within a reconstituted group. Around him, seven, NINJA, qpert, and al0rante will be tasked with stabilising the team quickly, striking a workable balance between firepower, collective discipline, and compositional flexibility, an increasingly central parameter in the pace of franchised league play.
On the coaching side, Kaan “Leader” Taşpınar will take charge as head coach. His priority will be less about polishing marginal details than about installing a framework: game principles, communication standards, work routines, and tactical structure, to reduce the entry cost of an entirely new roster as much as possible. After an Ascension 2025 run that opened the doors to VCT EMEA, PCIFIC will therefore begin 2026 with a clear objective: convert a promotion earned in a very different context into sustained presence at the highest level, this time by building a stable identity over the long term.
