The Land of the Fjords has found the players who will represent Norway at the Esports Nations Cup. Sources tell Sheep Esports the roster will be as follows:
Smurfe is currently competing in the HLL, the Greek league, where he finished first in the Spring regular season with WLGaming Esports and recently defeated Greek rivals Team Phantasma (3-2) to qualify to the HLL’s finals where they will face Olympiacos Alimou.
In the jungle, Kamel has already shared the stage with several members of the Norwegian roster, including Ploxy and Nomi during the early stages of 2025, as well as HAWHAW during their time with Bitfix Gaming. Ploxy is currently without a team, though he has played alongside Nomi on multiple occasions and even teamed up with LIDER back in 2017 during a regional tournament.
LIDER is unquestionably the standout name on this roster. At 26 years old, he competed for SK Gaming in the LEC 2026 and will now represent the country he lives in. LIDER will be paired with substitute midlaner HAWHAW, who formerly played for Rich Gang and DMG Esports in the NCL, and is famously known for being an Ekko OTP in SoloQ.
The botlane arrives with a shared history, having previously teamed up in 2019 with Riddle Esports, later with Fact Revolution, and eventually with DMG Esports. Nomi is currently without a team after spending eight months with CNG Royal, while Nash has been playing for Colossal Gaming in Italy since March.
Notably, former LEC AD carry Jakob "Jackspektra" Gullvag Kepple is Norwegian but was not interested in joining the roster, meaning Norway will rely on Nomi to fill the role.
Norway will have to play the qualifiers in June
Scheduled from November 2 to 29 for its first edition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the ENC is expected to bring together thousands of players from around a hundred countries across nearly 16 games. Alongside the League of Legends tournament, set to take place from November 21 to 29, there will be nation-based competitions in VALORANT, Counter-Strike, Rocket League, and Rainbow Six: Siege.
For League of Legends, 32 teams will compete at the main event in November: 16 directly invited based on points accumulated by their players in official competitions, and 16 more who will need to earn their spot through the qualifiers. With only one Tier 1 player on its roster, LIDER, who finished eleventh in LEC Versus and eighth in LEC Spring with SK Gaming, Norway will fall well short of the points threshold required to secure a direct invitation.
Update: New information has come the way of Sheep Esports. Former LEC Support Tore "Tore" Hoel Eilertsen also declined to play for the team.
