Already the host venue in 2022 and 2024, the
Rocket League Championship Series World Championship Finals will once again take place at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, near Dallas, United States, as announced by Epic Games this Thursday, May 21, during the second day of the
Paris Major. The venue, which previously hosted the BLAST Rivals Spring
Counter-Strike event in early May, is therefore set to welcome, for the second time this year, an international tournament organized by BLAST, the company in charge of the RLCS circuit. Scheduled from September 15 to 20, the competition will feature 20 teams from across the globe battling for the title won in 2025 by NRG Esports.
Although the event is still nearly four months away, most of the participating teams are already known. For Europe, the five organizations competing at the Paris Major will all travel to Fort Worth for Worlds, including Gentle Mates, winners of the Boston Major earlier this season. Karmine Corp, Team Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Manchester City complete the spots allocated through the
Ranking Points system for Europe.
Teams already guaranteed a place at the World Championship secured qualification through this points system, which rewards performances throughout the RLCS season. Points are earned both at international LAN events and during the regional Opens held between Majors, with six taking place across the year.
Who will be there?
Europe, which therefore holds a quarter of the available spots, will also have an additional slot up for grabs. Alongside the places awarded through Ranking Points, the final four World Championship spots will be decided through four Last Chance Qualifiers, set to take place in the four strongest RLCS regions. Europe, MENA, and North America are already guaranteed one of these additional qualifiers, while Oceania and South America are currently battling during the Paris Major to determine which region will receive the final LCQ spot. As for APAC (Asia-Pacific) and SSA (Sub-Saharan Africa), the outcome is already settled, with both regions sending only two representatives through the points system: TSM and Five Fears have already secured qualification.
Regarding the other already confirmed slots, Shopify Rebellion, Spacestation Gaming, and reigning world champions NRG Esports are all guaranteed to be in Fort Worth. The final direct qualification spot is also being decided in Paris and will depend on the results of FUT Esports, who need to overtake the points total currently contested with Virtus.pro, absent from the second Major of the 2026 season. There is no more suspense for their South American counterparts, with MIBR and FURIA having already locked in their Worlds spots.
In MENA, only Twisted Minds are already guaranteed a trip to the United States, while Team Falcons, one of the region’s historic clubs, could miss qualification after failing to reach the Paris Major and are now depending on the results of R8 Esports on-site. In Oceania, PWR and Wildcard are competing for the region’s only direct spot, which will also be determined by Wildcard’s final placement in the French capital.
