” Ru-han. The toplaner shared his surprise at the long careers of
' new jungler Joshua “
” Hartnett and Jo “
” Yong-in, the different environments at
HANJIN BRION and Team Liquid, and a possible reunion with former teammate Kim “
” Hyuk-kyu.
You mentioned the weather when you were in the LCS Lounge. Why does the weather help you play better?
Park “Morgan” Ru-han: “I have a funny thing... When we have a stage game, if the weather is sunny, my performance is really good. However, when it’s rainy or cloudy, I think it’s something foundational. In California, it’s always sunny, so it makes me want to redouble my efforts when I play on stage.
If the weather improves your performance, will you be unstoppable if you qualify for Worlds and play in Texas?
Morgan: I think it’s a little bit different. During Worlds season, I don’t really care about the weather. I try to enjoy Worlds because it’s a special opportunity as a player.
You seemed surprised by CoreJJ’s age and how passionate he still is about competing. Dardoch also returned to the LCS this week, and both have had very long careers. What surprised you about that?
Morgan: Oh, I didn’t know that!
How do you think these players have had such long careers, and why were you taken aback when you heard that even they still want to play even if they’re older?
Morgan: Honestly, I’m not sure I’m going to be like CoreJJ. He always thinks about the game. He doesn’t care much about things outside of the game, and he has a burning passion. I always imagine that when I grow older, if I’m 31, 32, or 33, it’s too hard to study the game every time and every day. That’s why I was shocked.
What do you see yourself doing when you reach these ages?
Morgan: I could be getting better and better if I play every international tournament. The thing is, as a player, playing in the environment of these big international tournaments should make me better. Maybe I could be good.
Maybe you could be playing. If you weren’t playing, is there anything you want to do when you retire?
Morgan: After retiring, I have to think about what to do, what my next job is, and I have to go to the army.
Team Liquid had an impressively decisive performance today. How does the team environment feel right now?
Morgan: I was worried about our early game after last week’s stage games. However, we did a great job today. I’m really happy now.
You also recently re-signed with Team Liquid. How long did it take you to make that decision?
Morgan: Maybe around three or four weeks? Maybe it was a month. General Manager Dodo (Kang Jun-hyeok) and my agency talked about the contract. I was waiting for my agency to hear what Dodo said. It was around three weeks or one month.
During this time, did TL present you with several offers or did you let your agency solve everything?
Morgan: Team Liquid presented several offers to my agency until we negotiated the deal that best benefited both of us.
GM Dodo said, “You’re a player who wants to help North America as a region” during the re-signing video. Why did you decide you want to help NA progress?
Morgan: The reason is I really like NA. The thing I love most here is the environment.
Dodo also said you’re a player worth building around. Why did you decide to commit with TL in the long term?
Morgan: Now that I re-signed,

Lim Hyeon-seung), and I have contracts that run until the end of 2027, so Team Liquid has a good foundation for next year. I also like Team Liquid, so I said,
“Yeah, let’s go!” Most fans know you from your long tenure at BRION
Morgan: Yeah, it was around four years.
It was a long time! When you arrived in NA, did you find a similar environment in TL compared to the one in BRION?
Morgan: No, it was different! It’s not only about Team Liquid and BRO, but we also have to compare the LCS with the
LCK. There are different things to compare, for example the schedule, but it’s good for me that I can better control my condition and my mindset to be ready to play.
Last time we spoke, we discussed the LCK’s roadshows. Now you’ll attend LCS Homegrounds in Mexico City. Are you excited to play in front of another crowd?
Morgan: Yeah! I’m excited to play the LCS in Mexico and to try local tacos. Josedeodo told me, “You have to eat original tacos.” I heard they’re really different and really good. I really want to try original tacos.
You played with Deft in 2021, and he competed in Mexico City during Worlds 2022. Have you asked him for any advice about visiting Mexico?
Morgan: No! [laughs]
Will you ask him for any advice?
Morgan: I’m not sure. I might ask him to meet me for a meal after Worlds 2026.”
