Kim "
Loopy" Dong-hyeon and Vivo Keyd Stars have broken their
agreement in the CBLOL as the player will instead return to South Korea
to join a team in the LCK Challengers League for 2026, according to sources close to
Sheep Esports. With this departure, the VKS roster is no longer complete for 2026. This decision leaves the organisation actively searching for a new support, with ex-CTBC Flying Oyster standout Ling "
Kaiwing" Kai Wing considered among the top options for the role. Kaiwing still retains options in the LCP as well.
Loopy was set to be VKS's new support after a tumultuous year with SK Gaming in the LEC, where he built a loyal fanbase (#LoopyNation) but struggled with results. Sources indicate that the player has opted to compete in the LCK Challengers next season. This move would mark his return to South Korea after last playing with BRION Challengers and Dplus KIA Challengers in Winter 2024.
With Loopy’s withdrawal, VKS are urgently scouring the market for replacements. Kaiwing, who recently left CTBC Flying Oyster after a long PCS run and multiple Worlds appearances, is seen as one of the most sought-after free agents for the support role. VKS is evaluating him alongside other candidates in hopes of assembling a roster that can compete at the top of CBLOL next year.
