The
Esports Nations Cup momentum continues. According to sources close to
Sheep Esports, Thailand has secured Piyangoon "
MYM" Kitisin as head coach for its
VALORANT delegation. He was selected through an open application process available to all Thai coaches interested in the role. He is one of several head coaches recently reported by
Sheep Esports in Asia, alongside Jose "
Rbtx" Jamir for the Philippines, Benedict "
Benkai" for Singapore, and Abhishek "
GodspeedxD" Bajaj for India.
MYM, currently an assistant coach at Sharper Esport, is expected to take on the head coach position for the national team. Active since 2023, he has notably worked with Made In Thailand before a stint with Full Sense in 2025, and later joined Sharper at the beginning of this year. With MiTH, he notably won a split of Challengers Thailand and helped FS qualify for Ascension Pacific.
In terms of players, Thailand has five active VCT players, all competing under Full Sense. However, the Esports Foundation, which oversees the ENC, has set a rule limiting each national selection to a maximum of three players from the same club, including substitutes. It will therefore be up to the two head coaches, alongside their respective national managers, to define a roster of five starting players and two substitutes before the end-of-April deadline.
All information about the ENC 2026
Scheduled from November 2 to 29 for its inaugural edition in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the nation-based competition, set to be the largest in esports history, is expected to bring together thousands of players from around a hundred countries, competing across nearly 16 titles. Alongside the VALORANT tournament, which will take place from November 8 to 15, national team competitions will also be held in Counter-Strike, Rocket League, and Rainbow Six Siege. For Riot Games’ FPS, around 32 teams, each representing a nation, will compete on site.
Before that, participants must first be determined. The Esports Foundation, which oversees both the ENC and the Esports World Cup, has decided that 16 of the 32 teams will qualify directly for the main event based on their representatives’ results within Riot Games’ official circuits. The remaining teams will have to go through one of seven regional qualifiers, each granting two spots. The final two slots are expected to be distributed as wildcards by the ENC, likely at the discretion of the event organizer.
