According to sources close to
Sheep Esports, the Spanish organization Team Heretics is expected to bench Berkcan "
ComeBack" Şentürk for the remainder of
VCT EMEA, just one match after the start of Stage 1. According to our information, TH is set to bring in Martynas "
Koshmaras" Namikas as his replacement, a decision made after quick tryouts over the past few days.
Having joined from Gentle Mates, the Turkish Duelist failed to lead Team Heretics to Masters Santiago after a Top 5/6 finish at Kickoff, with wins against ULF Esports, Natus Vincere, and Karmine Corp, and losses to NAVI, GIANTX, and Team Liquid. Despite this disappointing result, the Spanish organization did not make any changes ahead of Stage 1, even though there was nearly a two-month break between the two segments and TH did not take part in EMEA Clash.
What happened?
The decision to make a change at this point raises serious questions about the club’s current strategy for VCT EMEA, even if ComeBack was known to be less comfortable in English. In a recent interview with French outlet
Parlons Esport, Mert "
Wo0t" Alkan said that his Turkish teammate was still struggling with communication:
"He still struggles with his English." This issue even led the organization to adjust his role for the opening match of Stage 1 against Natus Vincere: "
Rather than having him play a Duelist [...] we've transitioned him to an agent (he played only Chamber during this series)
that allows him to hold sites and angles, rather than forcing him into the front-line fray."
Thrown into the deep end of international competition at just 18 years old during Stage 2 of 2025, when he began competing with the French club Gentle Mates, ComeBack never truly managed to find his rhythm despite being a highly anticipated prospect. Coming from PCIFIC Esports, where he spent less than a year before moving up to Tier 1, the Turkish player had made a strong impression in Challengers Türkiye and EMEA before stepping up after only a short time in the professional scene. Still not yet 19, ComeBack could be facing the first major setback of his very young career.
Having only competed in Tier 2
VALORANT at the start of 2026 after joining 6GPA in Challengers DACH, Koshmaras and his teammates finished Top 5-6 in the first split, before the organization collapsed due to multiple missed payments. Mostly active on Duelists such as Yoru or Neon, he closed out the split with an average of 208 ACS (Average Combat Score) and a 0.97 Kill to Death ratio. Recently joining DNSTY in Challengers Spain for Stage 3, Koshmaras could now make a huge leap by debuting in VCT EMEA and facing top-tier competition as early as this Thursday.
