The First Stand has concluded, and the LEC Spring Split 2026 is now ready to begin. The European league returns on March 28 at 17:00 CEST with a fan-favorite format, as all matches will be played in multiple game series. The main goal of this split is to secure a spot at MSI, with the two finalists earning qualification for the international event.
Most matches will take place, as usual, at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, while several LEC Roadtrips in Spain and France will bring the show on the road. This split will continue to be played using the Fearless Draft format and will also feature the First Selection ruleset introduced in 2026.
Format and Schedule
The LEC is sticking with the high-action format introduced last year. Every regular-season match will be a best-of-three, ensuring teams can better prepare for international play while fans enjoy more competitive storylines and draft adaptations throughout each week.

Across seven weeks, ten teams — without Karmine Corp Blue and Los Ratones — will battle through a single round-robin to determine the top six advancing to the postseason. Once there, all stages of the playoffs will feature best-of-five series in a double-elimination bracket with two MSI qualification spots waiting at the finish line. This split will also operate under the First Selection ruleset, letting teams with a side advantage decide whether to pick the Blue/Red side or choose draft order for each game.
The regular season kicks off on March 28, running Saturday through Monday each week at the Riot Games Arena. As announced, Monday regular-season games will no longer have a live audience to help redistribute event investments toward more live experiences throughout the year. Regular match days will feature two Bo3s starting at 17:00 CEST, except for the first three Saturdays, when broadcasts begin earlier at 14:00 CEST to accommodate three series.

After seven weeks of play, the six best teams qualify for playoffs. Playoffs start on May 23, with Bo5s running every weekend through to Finals weekend on June 6–7.
LEC Roadtrips
The LEC is hitting the road once again this Spring, bringing the action straight to fans across Europe. Two major Roadtrip stops are on the calendar, each hosted by one of the league’s most passionate organizations:
Each Roadtrip weekend will run from Friday to Sunday, with three straight days of Best-of-Three series, live entertainment, and fan activities. More details on scheduling, tickets and on-site events will be shared by Riot games on lolesports.com.
Where to watch it
Fans can catch every game live on the official LoL Esports broadcast, with streams on Twitch and YouTube in multiple languages. In addition, several well-known community figures will co-stream games throughout the Split, offering their own take on the competition. For those wanting to experience the thrill in person, tickets are already on sale at emeatickets.lolesports.com. Tickets for the Berlin studio start at €15, while Finals weekend prices range between €20 and €30.
