One of the most decorated players in the women’s scene, support
is ready to branch out. After more than three years under the banner of G2 Hel, the French player has officially joined
to compete in her first full EMEA Masters–qualifying ERL split in the
Road of Legends (ROL), the Benelux League. Though she had a short stint with
Yumeea during the
LFL 2026 Invitational and served as a substitute for ZYB Esport in the
Spring Dawn off-season tournament, this will mark her first time competing outside of a full female team in a long-term environment since her time in the Open Tour France back in 2020.
Ahead of OUAT, seven weeks of competition await in the Road of Legends, with a first best-of-three scheduled for Thursday, April 2 at 20:00 CET,
to be streamed in French directly by the Belgian organization on Twitch.
A Landmark for Women in Esports
Though she is not the first, Colomblbl continues to bear the standard and push toward greater equality in esports. For years, women in esports have infamously faced discrimination, regardless of rank or skill, often due to the dominant masculinist culture within gaming. In her own words, the French player recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she had “just learned” one of the ERL mixed teams she tried out for last December “didn’t want her due to being a woman.”
This sentiment is echoed by other prominent figures in the scene, including her former teammate Maya “Caltys” Henckel, a pioneer in her own right and one of the first women to compete in mixed environments. Among lesser-known names, Mareike “Sayna” Burg, Fabienne “Clef” Kersting, and others have also played in ERL splits.
From G2 Hel to Once Upon A Team
Last year, Colomblbl took part in one of the most ambitious all-women initiatives to date. On top of being one of the most decorated organizations in the women’s scene, G2 Hel achieved several milestones in 2025: it competed in the Spanish open circuit, qualified for its second division, and reached the end-of-year playoffs tied to Superliga qualification, ultimately falling to the eventual champions.
Following this run, G2 Hel announced a temporary pause in operations, prompting Colomblbl to join Yumeea for the Winter Split of 2026, where she competed in the LFL Invitational alongside 19 other teams. Prior to accepting that offer, however, the French support had already been in negotiations with Once Upon A Team and came close to an agreement, only for the deal to fall through as other members broke their verbal commitments. As a result, much of the roster moved on to other opportunities, Colomblbl included.
This time, she is here to stay. However, it remains uncertain whether her team will reach its targeted goals, as the roster features both a rookie and players who have stagnated in ERLs and are yet to deliver breakout performances. The Road of Legends is also generally regarded as one of the weaker ERLs within the broader EMEA landscape.
Since entering Benelux Tier 1 in 2024, Once Upon A Team has yet to reach the top of the standings, with its best result coming last year when it finished fourth in the 2025 Road of Legends Season Finals. The team is set to play its first match on Thursday, April 2 at 20:00 CET,
to be streamed in French directly by the Belgian organization on Twitch, and will need to secure at least a sixth-place finish to qualify for playoffs in a seven-week best-of-three group stage, where it will face every team in the league once.
