After announcing its first event in February for fans outside South Korea with the
2026 DRX HOMEFRONT in Vietnam,
the organization has now revealed the two teams it will face on site. Scheduled for May 8 to 10 in Hanoi, the weekend is part of the Team Road Shows organized by the
LCK for the league’s participating clubs. DRX will first face
on May 8, then
on May 10, as part of Rounds 1–2 of the 2026 LCK season.
The club is taking inspiration from the success of
, one of the pioneers of the "Home Ground" format, for whom the experience already appears to be at least a new annual appointment. In 2026,
T1 have planned two such events, the first at Inspire Arena from April 24 to 26, 2026 and the second at KSPO Dome from August 14 to 16, 2026.
In 2025, the Home Ground, already held at Inspire Arena in Incheon, attracted more than 30,000 fans and generated between $1.4 and $2 million in ticketing revenue, according to T1’s COO, who said it was a success and that they “achieved quite good sales.” Both T1 events are also part of the Team Road Shows, where several LCK regular season matches will likely take place.
A calculated project
These new revenue streams and the growing enthusiasm have also caught the league’s attention, leading it to host the LCK Cup finals in Hong Kong. The move helped reach a large international audience, particularly Chinese fans, given the city’s proximity. According to LCK commissioner Lee Jung-hoon, the 18,000 tickets sold out in two minutes, and nearly one million simultaneous connections occurred when ticket sales opened. As he recently noted in a discussion with the press: "More than 60% of our audience comes from overseas. The question is no longer how many people are watching, but how connected we are with them."
For DRX, the interest is twofold. First, the organization is looking to capitalize on its bet on
. The young Vietnamese AD Carry was, during his brief promotion to the LCK in 2025 and still today in the LCK CL, the only non-South Korean player in the league. It is both a sign of trust and a strong connection point with a country that already follows the LCK closely. Vietnam was the league’s third-largest foreign audience, behind China and the English broadcast, and even showed a slight increase in market share over the year.
