CBLOL with three splits in 2026
Divided into three stages in 2026, the CBLOL will see an increase in the number of matches next year. For Riot Games, this increase could mean greater visibility for players, as well as allowing teams to better develop their strategies throughout the season.
Comparing Split 1 of 2025 with the new CBLOL Cup, which will open the season in 2026, the increase in the number of games was 57%: more than double the number of matches. In addition, if we look at the whole year, the increase will be 27%, in addition to 38% in the volume of possible games.
Even teams that play only the minimum number of games possible will still see a 35% increase in the number of games played: a significant growth for the competitive scene in Brazil. Here's how the season is divided:
Presenting the CBLOL Cup
The first new feature of the CBLOL for 2026 will be the introduction of the CBLOL Cup, with a new and dynamic format.
Stage 1 begins with Best of One (Bo1) matches, where everyone plays against everyone else once. At this point, teams will have the opportunity to adapt to the new season and test new lineups before the start of the longer series stages.
The top four teams in the stage advance directly to the playoffs, while the teams in 5th and 6th place face off in a Best of Three (Bo3) for a spot in the later stage.
But the chances don't stop there. The last spot in the playoffs will be decided as follows:
- The teams ranked 7th and 8th also play a Best of Three (Bo3), where the winner remains alive in the quest for a spot in the playoffs;
- The last spot (Seed 6) in the playoffs will be decided between the loser of the game between 5th and 6th place and the winner of the aforementioned match. In other words, there will be six teams in the playoffs.
The playoffs begin with the two best-ranked teams advancing to the semifinals, while the remaining teams battle it out in the quarterfinals. In addition, the 1st-ranked team will be able to choose its position in the bracket, giving it the opportunity to determine its potential opponents in the future.
The champion of the new CBLOL Cup will be the team representing the country in the first international tournament of the year, First Stand, which will take place in Brazil in 2026!
Etapas 2 e 3
The last two stages of the CBLOL next season will follow a similar format, with some new features applied based on the experience gained in the 2025 LTA South.
- The Regular Season will be a single round, with Best of Three (Bo3) matches and a Fearless Draft format;
- The top six teams advance to the playoffs, with Best of Five (Bo5) matches and Fearless Draft.
As such, it is clear that there have been few changes to the format for the 2026 championship. However, the end of Cross-Conference will allow for an increase in the number of series for teams that advance in the regular season.
Which teams will play in the CBLOL 2026?
Despite the increase in the number of games in 2026, the CBLOL will continue with the same number of teams that played in the LTA South in 2025, with six partners from Riot Games in Brazil, one from the LLA (Latin American League), and one guest team (Isurus Gaming).
Isurus Gaming earned its spot in the LTA South Promotion Tournament, which took place between September and October 2025. In addition to them, Fluxo W7M, FURIA, Keyd Stars, LOUD, paiN Gaming, RED Canids, and Leviatán also participated in the tournament. See the list:
