After Valiant, another club is stepping
into LFL Division 2.
Skillcamp got a place in the antechamber of Franceās elite, according to Sheep Esports sources. Previously competing in the Nexus Tour since 2023, Skillcamp emerged as a strong contender in the 2024 season within Franceās third division. The team claimed victory in the 3rd of six stages on the circuit this season, and even for the Up&Downs, though they ultimately fell short in the semifinals to the streamersā team Nameless, who went on to win the competition.
Thanks to these good results, Skillcamp's coaching staff - Head Coach CƩdric "Cdric" Ratier, Manager Robin Gibier "Puidow" and Positional Coach Adam "Chizu" Makhloufi - will retain their place for the club's first season in the upper echelon, according to Sheep Esports sources.
As with every offseason, the game of musical chairs has reshaped Div2, giving it a look very different from what might have been expected based on last seasonās results. Before Skillcamp and Valiantās arrivals, AEGIS, relegated from the LFL, announced their departure from
League of Legends. Meanwhile, Joblife advanced to the top division by purchasing Team du Sudās slot after they exited esports. The streamers who won the Nexus Tour, thus earning a spot in Div2, quickly announced they would not participate in the league in the 2025 season.
A Club Focused on Development
Each season, these shifts create openings for new organizations to enter the semi-professional ranks of the French
League of Legends. This year, Skillcamp are seizing the opportunity to bring their vision of āopening the doors of Esports to all LoL enthusiastsā to life. Beyond esports, Skillcamp, backed by French streamer Dye, are indeed committed to player development, offering courses and coaching through their Skillcamp Academy.
Now, the club aims to put its hard work to the test in competition and āReach the Summit.ā In any case, Skillcamp's ambitions don't stop at Div2: the club is aiming for a place in the LFL over the next few years, and even to play a leading role there in the medium term, to establish itself permanently in the EMEA Masters.
