Sheep Esports, Rishi
"RvK" Vijayakumar and
Gods Reign have mutually agreed to terminate the player’s contract, with Sagnik
"hellff" Roy expected to take his spot on the roster. For RvK, this departure comes only a few months after a particularly busy 2025 season, which began with Orangutan in
Challengers 2025: South Asia Split 1 and ended with a 3rd-place finish in the Main Event. Following that first split, the entire Orangutan roster was acquired by DOT EXE, who brought the RvK–deecee duo along for the remainder of the circuit.
The Indian organisation had previously made its mark in 2023, notably with a 1st-place finish in
VALORANT Challengers 2023 South Asia: Split 2 and a 2nd place in Split 1, before gradually stepping away from the official circuit. The initial verbal agreement between Gods Reign, RvK, and Daivik
"deecee" Chauhan was intended to lay the foundations of their 2026 project, before recent discussions led to a mutual contract termination instead. This decision left a vacant slot on a roster still under construction, that the organization quickly filled.
hellff, an experienced profile to relaunch the Gods Reign project
In this context, the arrival of hellff will fit into a logic of continuity at the upper end of the South Asian sub-top. The Indian player is coming off a cycle marked by several stints with prominent regional organisations: True Rippers, Orangutan, and most recently S8UL Esports, whom he joined in 2025. Under the S8UL banner, hellff notably competed in VALORANT Challengers 2025 South Asia: Split 3, finishing 2nd behind Velocity Gaming, as well as in the VALORANT Challengers 2025 South Asia: Grand Final, where S8UL once again fell to Velocity in the final.
Signing a player already established near the top of the regional standings offers Gods Reign a different option from the duo originally envisioned around RvK and deecee. In this framework, integrating hellff in place of RvK will sketch out a slightly reoriented project, but still built around players well-versed in the South Asian circuit and high-stakes matches. What remains to be seen now is whether this new configuration, with hellff lining up alongside Lightningfast and deecee, will be enough to push Gods Reign back toward the top of the regional hierarchy.
