G2 Esports and
Karmine Corp secured expected wins over
Team Heretics and
Team BDS. But the surprise of the day came from
Rogue, who claimed their first victory of the split against
Team Vitality.
It wasn’t easy to predict such a dominant scoreline between the two teams... at least not in this direction, considering how impressive
Vitality had looked in their match last week. However, led by a hypercharged Adam "
Adam" Maanane, Rogue claimed a convincing 2-0 victory. Despite a few noticeable mistakes, their compositions—Rumble/Sejuani/Yone in game 1, followed by Jayce/Maokai/Viktor in the draft—proved to be clearly superior throughout the entire BO3.
The reigning champions of the league delivered a much more convincing performance than
last week against Movistar KOI. Stronger in lane, better in teamfights, superior in positioning, and taking calculated risks, the Blue Wall played two games over 30 minutes that, despite seeming unwinnable early on, were completely dominated. The Vi-centric composition in game 2 was also notably more effective than last week. This dominance is reflected in Caliste "
Caliste" Henry-Hennebert's KDA, proving the machine is still running smoothly, with a perfect 12/0/9 KDA across both games on Kalista and Ashe.
The
battle for the title of Rookie of the Year is heating up. Rudy "
SkewMond" Semaan has also entered this Spring split with a level of play that commands respect. What started as a one-sided series quickly turned into a true massacre, with the jungler from the LFL especially standing out with a stellar performance on Mundo and Ivern, earning a terrifying 7/1/31 KDA across the series. It's worth noting that every one of his teammates also shone—Sergen "
