The 2026 North American Challengers League (
NACL) season is starting to rev up, signaling to teams to finalize their rosters. Sources close to
Sheep Esports share that Mingyi “
Spica” Lu will compete in the next season of the NACL with
NRG (Darkzero) , but in an interesting twist, he will roleswap to support.
The organization previously revealed on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that it was in advanced talks to finalize its roster, the search for a Head Coach, and its intention to take Disguised’s LCS Guest Slot through the 2027 Promotion Tournament.
During his tenure in the LCS, Spica competed for Team Solo Mid, FlyQuest, and Dignitas. With the decision to role-swap, Spica joins an exclusive club with Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett as two former TSM junglers who have played support in an NACL split.
During the 2025 season, several NACL teams were fielding starting supports who role-swapped in the last five years: David "rovex" Sin-Keo, Fatihcan "Fatihcan" Demir, and Eric "Mixsture" Yin.
