Prime announces the sale of his stake in Karmine Corp

This Monday, Amine “Prime” Mekri announced on X his decision to sell his stake in Karmine Corp. “After five years spent building Karmine Corp, I have decided to sell my shares and move on,” wrote the organization’s co-founder. “The project has grown tremendously, and I am proud of everything we have accomplished, but this feels like the right moment for me to turn the page. I wish the team and the community all the best going forward.” Prime and Kamel “Kameto” Kebir launched Karmine Corp in late 2020, with an initial ownership split of 55% for Kameto and 45% for Prime.

In October 2023, Karmine Corp completed a fundraising round to finance the acquisition of Astralis’ LEC slot, which resulted in a dilution of the founders’ holdings, although Kameto remained the project’s majority shareholder. According to information reported by RFT.GG, Prime has now finalized the sale of his entire stake. The buyer is reportedly one of the investors who entered the company’s capital during the late-2023 funding round. The transaction is said to concern a holding estimated at around 25% of the share capital. Still according to RFT.GG, the completion of this deal could pave the way for Astralis to enter Karmine Corp’s capital, allowing KC “to absorb the debt linked to the LEC and to make KC the majority shareholder of its league participation rights.”

Since late 2024, revelations published by Revue21 had created a growing rift between the rapper and the community, with fans increasingly calling for his departure. In an initial investigation published on 4 November 2024, the French magazine revealed the existence of financial disputes between Prime and Kameto dating back to 2022, particularly regarding the management of merchandising operations.

According to the same article, Prime is said to have negotiated a contract with an external label, Play Two, presenting himself as Karmine Corp’s strategic and events lead without the streamer’s or team's consent. Prime allegedly “held out the prospect” of an agreement intended to associate the label with the production of KCX, the club’s flagship event, while leveraging KC’s notoriety to negotiate arrangements favourable to his own concert activities.This first article had already rendered Prime largely unwelcome among many fans, with the hashtag #PrimeOut beginning to circulate on X, urging the former YouTuber to sell his shares in the club.

While the two leading figures of Karmine Corp no longer appeared together publicly thereafter, a second investigation published by Revue21 on 7 November 2025 formalized the rupture. In this report, Prime was accused of inappropriate behavior in a professional context, wrongful dismissals, and unpaid wages. One testimony even alleged sexual blackmail. Prime responded by stating that the accusations were “completely false.” He nonetheless stepped back from Karmine Corp’s operational management following these events, while remaining tied to the project through the retention of his shares—until today.
