Lebanon has completed its roster for the
Esports Nations Cup League of Legends tournament, which will take place from November 21 to 29. With primarily great talent present in each of the game's roles over the past few seasons, the team just had to convince the players to come together to compete under the guidance of Petar "
Unlimited" Georgiev as Head Coach.
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, the team will be composed of:
- Toplane: Ahmad "Giyuu" Charif, Gilbert "Darky" Chami
- Jungle: Wissam "Porcupine" Meho, Nasser "Nasser" Fouad Rifai Martínez
- Midlane: Hamza "Panda2" Siala
- AD Carry: Sajed "sajed" Ziade
- Support: Matthieu "Matthieu" Fayad
Among MENA Qualifiers contenders
Lebanon’s roster features players competing in ERLs as well as one player currently active in Tier 1 competition with Disguised’s Sajed, a rare occurrence for nations coming from the MENA region.
Even Algeria, who are among the favorites from the region, don’t have an active Tier 1 player following Shifters’ decision to bench Mehdi "Boukada" Lahlou.
Nevertheless, Lebanon’s roster evaluation won’t accumulate enough points for the roster to be invited to the main event. Instead, they will be competing in the MENA Qualifiers in June. They will need a Top 2 finish in order to qualify for the Main Event.
Giyuu, the midlaner competing in toplane
Giyuu, the Lebanese legend, will naturally be part of the lineup, though the midlaner is set to play in the toplane, a role he previously played back in 2019 with NASR eSports. The Arabian League midlaner is currently playing for Anubis Gaming after spending the Winter split without a team. During his career, Giyuu accumulated over four Arabian League titles and even had a stint in North America with EG Academy. Alongside Giyuu, Gilbert "Darky" Chami, current Toplaner of One More Esports, will serve as substitute.
In the jungle, Lebanon has elected two player: Porcupine, a young Arabian League jungler who previously played for Fox Gaming and One More Esports, currently a free agent. He peaked at over 1300 LP in Grandmaster. The second jungler will be Nasser, a Spanish-Lebanese player also currently without a team, who peaked at nearly 1800 LP this season.
To displace Giyuu from the midlane, you truly need an exceptional talent, and Lebanon happens to have one of the biggest prospects in the EMEA scene in Panda2. Currently midlaner for Karmine Corp Blue Stars, the young prodigy peaked at nearly 2500 LP before the recent ranked reset while playing from Lebanon, and is widely regarded as a future star.
An LCS Player in the Botlane
Lebanon pulled off a major move by securing sajed, the American-Lebanese AD Carry currently playing for Disguised in the LCS. He is the only player on the roster worth points for Lebanon, collecting 250 points thanks to a top 5-6 finish in Winter and a top 7 finish in Spring in the LCS, but it won’t be enough to see his team skip the qualifiers. Sajed was not elected for Team USA as his home country picked another AD Carry.
Sajed will be joined by Matthieu, a 29-year-old support player who previously served as a substitute for Good Chi, the team coached by Unlimited. Currently, he is competing in the French Open Tour with Galions’ third team. However, the player never quite competed in the ERLs. According to
LoLpros , he peaked at 850 elo in Master’s this season.
Both Matthieu and Panda2 both represented Lebanon in 2025 at the Arab International Tournament, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the United Arab Emirates.
The strongest player eligible for the roster would have been G2 Esports jungler Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan. His ranking alone would have earned Lebanon enough points to skip the qualifiers entirely, but the Lebanese-French player chose to represent France instead.
Update: We added toplaner Gilbert "Darky" Chami as the seventh player in the article.
