Changes are coming to
before the start of the 2026
League of Legends Championship Series (
LCS) Summer Split. According to sources close to
Sheep Esports, the six-time LCS Champions will bring Edward “
" Ra to the squad. The idea within the C9 camp is for Tactical to split time with their current starter, Jesper “
" Svenningsen.
This change comes after Cloud9 lost in Tempe, Arizona, to
Team Liquid in the Loser’s Finals of the Spring Split. This defeat became the eighth consecutive international qualifier loss in their track record. The American joins after winning the most recent North American Challengers League (
NACL)
season with
. Tactical will reunite with Nick “
Inero" Smith, C9’s current Head Coach, who was his former Head Coach at
Immortals.
Cloud9 will become the second team to implement a six-man roster
after LYON signed toplaner Cho “
" Hyeon-seong from
Disguised in an effort to bring the best in Niship “
" Doshi. C9 is hoping to break their two-year Worlds qualification curse, and the team hopes the addition of Tactical will help secure their slot.
Back-to-back-to-back
Immortals was Tactical’s home for the 2023 and 2024 LCS seasons. During his last appearance in the LCS, IMT had a batch of negative results, finishing in eighth place in both the Spring and Summer splits before leaving the North American League of Legends scene. However, the former CNV player hasn’t been slacking.
In 2025, the botlaner returned to the NACL with Luminosity Gaming’s first array in the LoL scene. LG won back-to-back championships and challenged Disguised for their LCS slot. However, LG was unsuccessful and lost the series 1-3.
The 2026 NACL Spring Split saw Conviction and Tactical qualify for the playoffs as the sixth seed and then emerge victorious, awarding the American his third NACL championship in a row. He even showed his skill by getting a Pentakill with Caitlyn in Game 2 of the Finals against CCG Esports.
You just made the list!
The AD Carry will join a list that includes former players Andy “Smoothie" Ta and Yuri “Keith" Jew, among others, as the newest player to feature for at least one regular-season game for each of the LCS historical Big Three. Tactical joined Team Liquid in 2020, then transferred to TSM in 2022, and will finally join Cloud9 in 2026.
The last time Cloud9 played six players in the same split was the 2023 Spring Split, when a mid-split midlane change happened: Korean Jang “EMENES" Min-soo replaced German Dimitri “Diplex" Ponomarev. Coincidentally, this was also the last time Cloud9 lifted a championship.
