Riot Games officially unveiled the 2026 calendar for
the 2XKO Competitive Series on Wednesday, January 21. This global competitive circuit is built around around
twenty tournaments supported by the publisher throughout the year. Following an initial announcement in December, Riot has now detailed its roadmap, outlining the Major and Challenger events that will shape the 2026 competitive season for
2XKO.
The circuit will kick off at the end of January with Frosty Faustings, the first Major of the year, and will run through November with Battle Coliseum in Brazil. Organized in partnership with leading community-driven fighting game events, these competitions reflect Riot’s intention to support the existing ecosystem from the very launch of 2XKO, standing alongside established franchises such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The 2026 calendar stands out for its strong international scope, with events scheduled across North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Oceania, an impressive global footprint for a first year. This inaugural season also features a presence at all three EVO events: from May 1 to 3 in Japan, from June 26 to 28 in Las Vegas, and the newest addition, from October 9 to 11 in
France.
It is worth noting that some tournaments, particularly those planned for the end of the year, are still pending confirmation. Riot Games stated that the calendar will be updated regularly as logistical details and registrations are finalized. Finally, Riot will support the circuit with the return of the Frame Perfect cosmetic bundle, with sales directly contributing to prize pools and the production costs of competitive events.
