Just a few days after announcing his departure from
,
has already found a new home. According to
the Global Contract Database, the French jungler will remain in the
LFL and join
. Throughout his career, Manaty had previously distinguished himself in the LFL as well as in the
HLL (the Greek league) with
Team Phantasma, with whom he notably achieved a top-four finish at the
EMEA Masters.
A member of the ZYB Esports project since the beginning of the season, the jungler announced earlier this week that he was departing from the team, primarily following internal friction between himself and his teammates, most notably toplaner Adam "Adam" Maanane. Following a final match where both parties parted ways amicably, Manaty is set to integrate into a new squad for the remainder of the year.
A new beginning
At IJC, Manaty will replace Osman “Kaboom” Onur Korkmaz in an effort to inject fresh momentum into the roster. The organization is coming off two underwhelming splits with the Turkish jungler, having suffered an early exit at the LFL Invitational before finishing only seventh during the Spring Split. Nor did IJC provide its supporters with many additional reasons for optimism during the opening week of the Summer Split, posting a 1–2 record with a victory over TLN Pirates and defeats against Galions and Joblife.
Manaty's debut is set to be a demanding one, as IJC will face the two-time defending LFL champions, Solary, on July 28. The jungler will, however, be somewhat familiar with the challenge, having played his final match with ZYB against that very same opponent last week. That final dance ended, perhaps unsurprisingly, in another victory for Solary.
