The
EMEA Masters Summer 2025 kicked off its first two quarterfinals â and potential fairytale stories are already in the making.
Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition and
Karmine Corp Blue are the first two teams to advance to the semifinals.
This yearâs competition has an unprecedented stake:
a direct LEC slot for the Winter Split as reported by
Sheep Esports. With Los Ratones already qualified and uncertainty surrounding how the second spot would be allocated if an LEC academy team were to win, only three teams remain eligible for promotion â ROSSMAN Centaurs, Galions, and Unicorns of Love.
The Cinderella run of the Prime Leagueâs fourth seed continues. They swept past Geekay Esports 3â1 to reach their first-ever EMEA Masters semifinal, ending Geekayâs hopes of claiming a second-ever semifinal appearance for the Arabian League. Meanwhile, Karmine Corp Blue secured victory as well, clinching their seventh semifinal appearance in the tournamentâs history, mostly thanks to an outstanding performance from Johnny "Yukino" Dang.
This Friday, the
two-time defending champions face Galions for a spot in their third consecutive semifinal. The teams already met during the Swiss Stage, where the LFL runners-up edged out a 2â1 win. The other match of the day features another captivating storyline â ROSSMAN Centaurs versus Los Heretics.
There is a possible scenario in which, should both Los Ratones and Los Heretics win, Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition would remain the only team theoretically eligible for LEC qualification in Winter 2026. However, with no further clarification from Riot Games yet, such projections remain uncertain.
