In a surprise move just hours before the start of the
EMEA Masters Spring 2026,
have made a change to their roster. After finishing third in the LFL during the Spring Split, KCB will begin their campaign on Monday in the Play-Ins, aiming to secure a place in the group stage. A few hours ahead of their opening match, the multiple-time EMEA Masters champions announced the addition of
to the active lineup.
As stated by the organization on X,
âThis decision results in being moved to the bench and placed on the inactive roster.â No detailed explanation was provided regarding the reasoning behind the move, but the German AD Carry is now set to start for the team throughout the competition.
At just 20 years old, Looki is set to compete in both his first EMEA Masters and his first ERL tournament at this level. Prior to this season, the AD Carry had primarily competed in
Prime League 2 before joining the
project. It quickly became apparent, whether at the
LFL Invitational or in the
Nexus League, that he possessed both the potential and the talent required to compete in the ERL ecosystem. His recent form was further validated on Sunday, when he helped secure the Nexus League title with a reverse sweep victory over
.
On the other hand, Hazelâs move to the bench has raised questions among fans. Like Looki, he was part of KCBS last year before earning a promotion to KCB this season. Initially brought in to compete in the LEC Versus, he did so while still completing his secondary education. Returning to the ERL circuit for the EMEA Masters and the LFL season, Hazel and KCB experienced an inconsistent campaign, enduring several difficult stretches before recovering, only to suffer further setbacks later in the split.
After being swept by
and
during the playoffs, KCB enter a competition with which they have historically enjoyed considerable success, this time as the third seed from the LFL. However, they will do so without their Romanian AD Carry. Whether this late roster change proves beneficial remains to be seen, but it will undoubtedly be one of the major storylines surrounding the team in the coming weeks.
