On March 9, a few days before the start of the
First Stand (16-22 March),
Riot Games updated its
Global Power Ranking following the results of the first split across all regions. Several changes can be observed within the top 10, and there has also been a notable rise among the teams set to compete in the first international tournament of the season.
Riot Games also assigns a Regional Strength Score to the six Tier 1 regions. Unsurprisingly, the LCK continues to occupy first place with 1,586 points, followed by the LPL (1,353 points). The most notable change concerns the LCP, which moves into fourth place with 1,156 points, ahead of the LCS with 1,094 points, and just behind the LEC, which stands at 1,169 points.
GEN.G return to first spot
For reference, the team rankings are determined according to four criteria highlighted on the LoL Esports website. These include recent performance, the context of matches based on their importance within the season, in-game playstyle and execution, and the overall strength of opponents faced.
The previous update to the ranking had taken place after the 2025 World Championship, when

LCK Cup. The Korean powerhouse had already occupied this position for an extended period last season and now reclaim it from T1.
Despite a disappointing start to the season,

, who re-enter the top five after their underwhelming performance at the most recent World Championship. Meanwhile,

G2 rise, Fnatic fall
In Europe,

LEC Versus. The team climbs three spots to reach seventh place. Their opponent in the final,
, also gains four positions to settle in 15th place.
