Chinese Taipei has finalized its
League of Legends roster for the Esports Nations Cup, selecting a squad that will represent the country directly at the main event as one of the 16 best teams globally by world points. To lead the nation, Chinese Taipei appointed Chen “
WarHorse” Ju-Chih, the region's most popular and experienced head coach, currently at the helm of
, the most powerful powerhouse in the LCP and back-to-back champion since the beginning of the year.
For context, WarHorse can leverage coaching experience acquired in the LPL, having become a
world champion in 2019 with FunPlus Phoenix, followed by subsequent roles with

They were the hegemonic champions in the LCP in 2025, earning every regional title possible that year together. They reunite with Doggo, with whom they won all those titles at
in 2025.
Alongside them is ShiauC to complete the botlane, currently the support at
. The roster dominated the PCS in 2025, moved up to the LCP, is a double regional finalist since the beginning of this year, and will participate at MSI 2026. On toplane will be 1Jiang, the toplaner at
. The team has no official substitute at the moment.
Notable absences: Rest, Driver, Karsa, and Woody left off
The roster does have some notable missing players. While three players from the impressive 2025 CTBC Flying Oyster roster were selected, neither Hsu “
” Shih-Chieh nor Shen “
” Tsung-Hua were retained. Rest is currently on a less dominant team and may be judged as limited in his style, while Driver has no team in 2026. There will also be no return from Hung “
” Hao-Hsuan, who announced retirement after last season.
Lin “
” Yu-En is also missing, paying the consequences of a very disappointing split at
despite an exceptional international track record from recent years with
. His ADC from recent years, Lu “
” Yu-Hung, as well as toplaner Huang “
” Shang-Jhih, are also not on the list, having no team since the beginning of this year as well. It remains to be seen what will happen with potential substitutes selected.
Direct Qualification: 7th Best Team Globally
The country is directly qualified for the main event as the 7th-best team globally by points according to the Esports Foundation's competition ranking. They accumulate 3,850 points, sitting just behind the United States of America (3,950 points) and just ahead of Denmark (3,550 points).
Chinese Taipei will also compete at the Asian Games 2026, having finished second at the last edition in 2022 — with Doggo as AD Carry — only falling to South Korea. However, their roster for the competition remains unknown at the moment. As a reminder, the Asian Games will take place from September 30 to October 2, while the ENC's main event will be held in Saudi Arabia from November 21 to November 29.
