"I want to win Worlds"
After making his first appearance in a T1 jersey at the Red Bull League of Its Own in Munich, Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan is now competing in the 2025 KeSPA Cup under his new colors. The team remains undefeated in the tournament and has advanced to the top 4 without issue.
Following their dominant win over the Japanese All-Stars squad, Peyz gave one of his earliest post-match interviews to INVEN in South Korea, sharing his feelings after a year abroad in the LPL with JD Gaming in 2025, and opening up about his mindset as he joins the reigning three-time world champion team.
Peyz's first impressions
The new T1 botlaner opened up about his debut. "Wearing the T1 uniform for my first official game was really enjoyable, though there was some tension," he said. "We haven't done any scrims yet; I've been maintaining form through solo queue. Excluding event matches, this was our first team game."
Peyz, who debuted with Gen.G before testing LPL waters with JD Gaming in 2025, reflected candidly on that stint. Despite missing Worlds, he remains positive: "Results-wise, it was disappointing. But I'm satisfied because it was a year of significant learning and growth. I met great players and coaches and improved in many areas."
Choosing T1 and pairing with Keria
Joining T1 was a no-brainer for the ambitious AD Carry. "Watching T1 games, I found all the players incredibly attractive and skilled," Peyz explained. "T1 always performs well at Worlds with strong results. It seemed fun, and I wanted to win a lot, so I came."
Pairing with star support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok has Peyz buzzing. "We're set to team up long-term, and he's such a great player that the future looks promising," he shared. "Botlane chemistry takes practice to know, but with both our individual skills, I think we'll mesh naturally over time. We can become LCK's best bot duo."
Adapting to T1's whirlwind offseason didn't faze him. "Handling such a long schedule was new for me. It wasn't tough at all; it actually helped me bond quickly with teammates," Peyz noted. Looking ahead, his focus is sharp: "My top priority is integrating well into this team. That will naturally lead to more wins and titles. I'm targeting victory in the immediate tournament ahead, and ultimately, I want to win Worlds."
