ZmjjKK Sets All-Time BO5 Kill Record at Champions 2024
The record for most kills in a best-of-five (Bo5) series on the international VALORANT stage is held by Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang, who achieved 111 eliminations in a single confrontation at Champions 2024. This feat took place during the Grand Finals between EDward Gaming and Team Heretics on August 25, 2024, a now historic match that marked a turning point for competitive VALORANT. It also allowed China to win its first international title in the game.
That day, ZmjjKK delivered an extraordinary performance at the INSPIRE Arena in Incheon, South Korea. Throughout the Bo5 world championship final, he consistently secured eliminations across all five maps, showcasing an exceptional level.
Rapid Progression of the Record in 2024
Before this milestone, several players had already pushed the boundaries of the Bo5 kill record. In 2023, Max "Demon1" Mazanov became the first player to break the 100-kill mark in a grand final, finishing with 101 kills during that year's Champions tournament.
In May 2024, two other players—Erick "aspas" Santos and Jacob "valyn" Batio—also reached 101 kills in separate matches played on the same day during the VCT Americas playoffs. These performances reflected the rapidly rising level of competition on the global circuit.

Just days later, the record was broken again. Kim "t3xture" Na-ra set a new benchmark with 105 kills in the grand final of the VCT Pacific, facing off against Paper Rex. However, this record stood for only a few months before ZmjjKK exploded onto the global stage, claiming the spotlight and rewriting the history of VALORANT esports.
Records Outside the Official VCT Circuit
In parallel, some players have also made headlines in regional leagues or non-franchised circuits. For example, Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar notched 116 kills during the TEC Gauntlet in India back in 2021. Similarly, Ilia "Something " Petrov impressed with 120 kills across just four maps during the Ascension Playoffs in Japan in 2023.
While these achievements are undeniably impressive, they are not officially recognized within the scope of the international VCT. The VCT remains the definitive standard for top-tier VALORANT competition.
