A possible revenge for GIANTX
GIANTX secured a spot in the grand final of the VALORANT Game Changers EMEA Split 2 on Wednesday evening, following a 3-1 victory over SK Nebula in the lower bracket final. They will face Karmine Corp in this decisive match, after previously losing to the Blue Wall in the upper bracket final on Tuesday. This rematch will be played in a best-of-five series, kicking off this Thursday at 5 PM (CET), with a potential back-to-back title on the line for KCorp, who already won the first split of 2025.
It was SK Gaming’s Game Changers roster that struck first in the match, securing the opening point with a narrow 16-14 win on Icebox. It took six intense overtime rounds for Tina “Joliinaa” Agélii and her teammates to finally edge ahead in the series. However, the 1-0 scoreline didn’t last long, as GIANTX responded fiercely on Split. After conceding just four rounds early on, they found their rhythm and dominated the rest of the game with twelve consecutive points, leaving no room for a comeback.
Smurfette's Show
The third map, Sunset, brought a real show for the fans, with Yağmur “Smurfette” Gündüz delivering an outstanding performance on Neon. Despite being down by two rounds after switching from defense, GX came out strong on attack, setting the pace and ultimately clinching the map 13-11 to take the lead in the match. GIANTX would go on to seal the deal on Pearl, finishing the series with a solid 13-9 victory. This win was largely thanks to the stellar showing from Neslişah “ness” Demir on Vyse, who posted an impressive 1.53 K/D ratio on the final map, helping her team close out the match in dominant fashion.
