On Thursday 4 December, Riot Games officially announced
the return of the Night Market in VALORANT, which is set to run from December 11 to January 6. This recurring in-game event gives players the chance to purchase six weapon skins, chosen at random, at discounted prices, which often range from standard to premium tiers.
The announcement was made via the official
VALORANT social channels and instantly sparked excitement within the community. As always, the system is based purely on luck: some players will receive top-tier bundles, while others might not be so lucky.
The feature includes a variety of skins from previous collections, although Ultra and Exclusive Edition bundles are usually excluded. While Riot Games has not yet confirmed the eligible pool for this edition, it usually excludes newer premium skins released in the last two months.
This return coincides with Riot Games seemingly deciding to also bring back the Snowball Fight mode — a limited-time game mode that appeared only once during Winter 2020. Snowball Fight is a 5v5 team deathmatch mode where the first team to reach 50 eliminations wins. Players can choose any agent but are restricted to a Snowball Launcher, a projectile weapon with infinite ammo that fires one snowball at a time with a short reload.
