Masters Toronto 2025 viewership
These figures highlight the popularity of the event. According to Esports Charts, with a peak figure of 1.104 million, Masters Toronto 2025 surpasses many recent VALORANT majors with the clash of two Valorant monsters between Fnatic and the champions of these masters, Paper Rex. However, analysts have noted that it fell short of the record set at the Masters in Bangkok, which had a peak audience of 1,319,067. This figure reflects only official streams, excluding co-streamers and Chinese platforms. With all sources included, the total peak figure may have been even higher.
The final was watched by large numbers of fans on YouTube and Twitch, and early estimates suggest that the total number of hours watched reached tens of millions (Esports Charts reported 34.69 million hours for the entire event, though this includes all days). In any case, the exponential rise in viewers of the Grand Final on 22 June shows how VALORANT's fan base has grown worldwide.
Masters Toronto VS Austin Major
In contrast, the Counter Strike 2 scene attracted even larger audiences this month. The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 final phase broke CS records: according to Esports Charts, the opening match of the playoffs attracted over 1.4 million peak viewers, with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev making a comeback in a major playoff for the first time since Rio 2022, under the FaZe Clan banner.
Austin Major went on to become the most-viewed CS event held in the United States, with a peak of around 1.759 million viewers. The total number of hours watched also surpassed anything seen in VALORANT this year (76 million for the Austin Major versus 34.7 million for the Masters Toronto event).
In short, while Masters Toronto set a new benchmark for VALORANT viewership, the CS2 Major attracted an even larger audience. These statistics highlight the explosive growth of VALORANT esports and the enduring popularity of Counter-Strike, with both titles now reaching global audiences in the millions.
