After two finals back-to-back, GIANTX part ways with Nami
On Monday, August 18, GIANTX announced a surprising roster move in their VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers (VCT GC) EMEA lineup. The Spanish-British organization confirmed the departure of its In-Game Leader, Iman “Nami” Nagaaoui, ahead of Stage 3.
GIANTX have already locked in Nami’s replacement: Sara “Sucette” Özden. The 21-year-old Smoker joins from Twisted Minds Orchid, where she helped her squad qualify for playoffs in the previous split. After good performances—particularly on Omen—Sucette now has the chance to prove herself on one of the region’s biggest teams and potentially fight for her first-ever Championship appearance.
An unexpected change
The decision comes as a shock, considering Nami had been instrumental in GIANTX’s strong 2025 campaign so far, guiding the team to back-to-back finals in Stage 1 and Stage 2 of VCT GC EMEA. Both times, GIANTX narrowly fell short, losing 2–3 to Karmine Corp. As one of the key figures behind these results, cutting ties with their IGL so close to the final split and the Game Changers Championship is undeniably a bold gamble.
