The second day of the
VALORANT Game Changers
Championship in Seoul was intense, delivering both confirmation and questions.
Karmine Corp GC, under heavy scrutiny following their regional success, began their international campaign with a victory over
Xipto Esports GC. Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket,
Team Liquid Brazil got off to a strong start in their quarter-final against
KRÜ Blaze, establishing an early lead in the series and suggesting that they could progress far in the upper bracket. With
KC's structured dominance and Liquid's explosive start, the balance of power in Seoul has already begun to shift.
A controlled display for the Blue Queens
On Abyss, Xipto's own map pick, Karmine Corp GC turn the opener into a showcase of their international caliber. The Pacific representatives struggle to establish any real foothold: KCorp systematically lock down mid, execute sharp site hits on A and B, and suffocate every attempted aggression on the defense, closing the map out 13–4. Azra "alkyia" Erin delivers a stunning performance on Jett with close to 490 ACS on Abyss and an individual rating of 2.0, firmly supported by Şura "Jiex" Yıldırım, who over the 200 ADR. On the other side, Xipto can't manage to turn those few openings into momentum as Kim "PIETY" De Guia and Leanne "grahams" Ti-in efforts barely pay off in trades, while the team keeps running into the well-structured retakes and layered utility of KCorp's.
The pattern shifts slightly on Corrode, where Xipto finally manage to find more offensive rhythm, particularly through a series of well-prepared fast executes onto the outer sites. Even so, Karmine ultimately reassert their tempo and close out the series with another convincing win, this time 13–7, for a 2–0 final scoreline. Across the whole BO3, alkyia finishes at the top of the scoreboard with over 44 kills and 319 ACS. With this clean victory, Karmine Corp GC secure their spot in the upper-bracket semi-finals, where they are set to face the winner of Shopify Rebellion Gold vs MIBR GC. Xipto Esports GC, meanwhile, drop into the lower bracket, where they will have to rebuild against an opponent still to be determined if they want to stay in contention in Seoul.

Liquid seize the early lead
Team Liquid Brazil make a strong statement in the day's other quarterfinal, taking the opening map, Corrode with a 13–5 win. Dominant in virtually every department, the Brazilians shut down KRÜ Blaze from the defensive side and then roll through their attack half with meticulously timed executes built around the Julia "Jelly" Iris/Natalia "daiki" Vilela duo. On the map, daiki made 22 kills to just 9 deaths with 306 ACS, while Jelly also surpasses the 300 ACS mark and flirts with 20 kills. KRÜ Blaze offer occasional flashes through Caue "dods" Fernandes and Constanza "conir" Reyes, but drop too many clutches and economy rounds to seriously threaten Liquid’s lead. And this will be even more evident on Bind, where the KRU will completely fall, losing 13-6 and, putting them 2-0 down in their first match in these GCCs. TL will advance to the upper-bracket semi-finals to face the winner of G2 Gozen vs Nova Esports GC, on the opposite side of the bracket from Karmine Corp.
