From CS:GO pioneer to Game Changers legend
On December 8, Petra “Petra” Stoker officially announced on X that she was bringing her professional career to an end, marking the conclusion of a defining era for G2 Gozen and the entire VALORANT Game Changers ecosystem. For nearly a decade, Petra has been one of the most prominent faces of women’s FPS esports.
Before VALORANT, the Dutch player had already made her mark in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with Beşiktaş Esports, notably leaving a strong impression with the team’s victory at DreamHack Showdown Valencia 2019. This marked the pinnacle of a cycle during which she established herself as one of Europe’s most reliable riflers. She continued on this trajectory despite major team changes, such as her time with XSET.
In 2021, she took the leap to VALORANT and joined the newly formed G2 Gozen roster, built around the XSET core of Julia "juliano" Kiran, Zainab "zAAz" Turkie, Michaela "mimi" Lintrup, and Petra, to tackle the nascent Game Changers EMEA circuit. With G2 Gozen, Petra went on to write a significant part of the scene’s early history. As an outstanding Initiator, capable of high-impact clutches, she helped lead the team to the world title at the inaugural VALORANT Game Changers Championship in 2022.
She accumulated regional trophies and ultimately reached the symbolic milestone of ten Game Changers titles with G2. Even the more uncertain periods of her journey, including a spell on the bench in early 2025 before returning to help stabilize the team, did little to diminish her influence. Until the very end, Petra remained a central pillar of a roster in constant evolution.
A foundational figure and reference point for the next GC generation
In her farewell message on X, Petra explained that after many years at the highest level, she had been unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension with G2 and chose not to continue her career with another organization. She thanked her teammates, the staff, and the community, stating that winning ten titles in VALORANT would remain one of her greatest achievements, while also highlighting the Counter-Strike years that shaped her both as a player and as a person. She also made it clear that she would not disappear from the scene entirely, planning to remain active via her Twitch channel.
Beyond her list of achievements, Petra leaves behind a substantial symbolic legacy. Together with mimi and juliano, she is part of a historic trio that claimed world titles in both CS:GO and VALORANT, demonstrating that a women’s career at the highest level can be both sustainable and successful. For all the young players aspiring to join the Game Changers circuit one day, Petra stands as a clear reference point: a hard-working competitor, adaptable in her roles, loyal to her organization, and capable of returning stronger after every setback.
