Two Pacific teams brutally eliminated
On Monday, Day 10 of the VALORANT Champions Tournament in Paris delivered it all: G2 Esports's dominant victory against T1 on Lotus, MIBR's controlled finish on Corrode, and a day full of precise execution, clutch retakes, and momentum shifts felt through the screen. Jacob "valyn" Batio, Nathan "leaf" Orf, and Alexander "jawgemo" Mor set the tone, while MIBR's Erick "aspas" Santos and Arthur "artzin" Araujo powered a relentless team that stifled Rex Regum Qeon’s late surges. Map control, economy management and success in the opening stages were crucial as the playoffs were at stake.
Bangkok Masters Winner Fall
For this first match, Lotus was G2's pick. G2 got off to a strong start on their map of choice, solid in recoveries and very clean in trades. The trio of valyn, leaf, and jawgemo locked down key areas, while Trent "Trent" Cairns and Jonah “JonahP” Pulice ensured discipline in post-plant. Despite a few bursts of speed from Yoo “BuZz” Byung-chul and Kim “Meteor” Tae-oh, T1 failed to convert the pivotal rounds. G2 eventually pulls away and finishes 13–9.

Back on Corrode, picked by T1. The Koreans tried to dictate the pace on their pick, but G2 read the timings well and won most of the opening duels. The initiatives of Kim “stax” Gu-taek and BuZz were not enough to stop the North American machine: G2 maintained its economic advantage, found clean retakes, and closed out the series 2–0 with a 13–8 victory on Corrode. G2 qualified for the playoffs, while T1's run came to an end.
A new face for MIBR
For the second match, Corrode was the first map played, picked by RRQ. MIBR started off like a steamroller: map control, sharp entries, and methodical retakes. aspas led the assault, well supported by artzin and Andrew “Verno” Maust; RRQ struggled to set up their post-plants despite attempts by Cahya "monyet" Nugraha and Maksim “Jemkin” Batorov. The result was clear: 13–5 for the Brazilians.

MIBR had one map left to qualify, and it was played on Abyss, the Brazilian team's pick. The momentum remained in MIBR's favor, carried by its impactful duo of aspas and artzin, while RRQ were looking for solutions around monyet and Jemkin. Whatever the outcome, the stakes were high for the last playoff ticket of the day. And it was a no contest: MIBR took the last spot in these playoffs.
