The former Fortnite star is doubling down on his commitment to the Spanish powerhouse.

Benjy "Benjyfishy" David Fish will continue to play for Team Heretics. The former Fortnite star has officially extended his contract with the Spanish team until the end of 2026, as announced by the organization on Thursday, confirming his intention to continue competing at the highest level in the VCT EMEA.

When he transitioned from Fortnite to VALORANT in late 2022, many questioned whether he could replicate his success in a new game. Less than two years later, the British player has found his rhythm. After joining Team Heretics in 2023, he quickly became an integral part of the team.

Benjyfishy’s mechanical skill and game sense, honed during his time as a top Fortnite competitor, have served him well in VALORANT. His steady improvement throughout the 2024 season proved that his switch wasn't just a publicity stunt — it was a serious career move.

The Runner-Up Curse

In 2024, Team Heretics and Benjyfishy have developed a bittersweet reputation: they are always contenders... but never champions. Last year, they reached four finals — VCT EMEA Kick-Off, VCT EMEA Stage 1 Masters Shanghai and VALORANT Champions — but lost every time. They also finished third in VCT EMEA Stage 2, and their only international misstep came at the Masters in Madrid, where they were eliminated during the Swiss stage. The curse continued in 2025 as TH reached the Stage 1 final, but once again fell short.

As the 2025 VCT season ramps up, Team Heretics is doubling down on stability. Retaining Benjyfishy alongside Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius, Mert “Wo0t” Alkan, Dominykas “MiniBoo” Lukaševičius, and Enes “RieNs” Ecirli signals confidence in their core lineup. Their ambition: break past runner-up finishes and secure that coveted EMEA title, while forging deeper runs in international tournaments.
