From July 15-16, the final week of the
Rocket League FIFAe Nations League took place across five different regions from around the world, determining the remaining set of teams to play on LAN at the FIFAe Continental Championships. Over the past four months, 85 national teams have competed in this first stage of the FIFAe World Cup 2026, where they have featured in multiple online regional events.
Each team earned consistency points based on their placement in both the group stage and knockout stage portion of each event. These consistency points contributed to an overall ranking which offered teams slots at stage two of the FIFAe World Cup. Known as the Continental Championships, these events will take place on LAN in each of the five different regions: Asia/Ocean will compete in Kuala Lumpur on August 23, likewise South America in Rio de Janeiro on the same date. Africa will compete in Casablanca on August 29, with North/Central America a day after in Mexico City. Finally, Europe will compete over two days in Lisbon from September 01-02.
Nations will be competing for a total of 14 slots at the FIFAe World Cup 2026 Finals, spread across five regional LAN events. Two more slots will be given over to the host nation, which has been Saudi Arabia for the past two years, and to the Intercontinental Playoff match between New Zealand and the team who places third in the Asia Continental Championship.

Wales narrowly missed out on qualifying for the event after a mid-tournament rule change that saw Portugal, Europe’s host nation, given an automatic slot at the Continental Championships despite only earning enough points to place 13th in the European rankings.

Canada and the United States are resounding favourites for the two slots offered to the region but could face stiff competition from Puerto Rico if they field weaker than usual squads.
Asia/Oceania (2 slots)

The strongest national team in Asia, Saudi Arabia, is expected to take the slot given to the host nation for the FIFAe World Cup Finals, having hosted the event since its inception.

The first Continental Championship will take place on August 23 in Kuala Lumpur, where eight Asian squads will battle it out for two slots at the World Finals.
