Anne Banschbach set for a new chapter with BLAST
On Friday, Anne Banschbach, current Director of Esports at Team Vitality, has announced on X her upcoming departure from the club after nearly four years with the Hive. Under her leadership, the club notably reached new heights on Counter-Strike with two Major victories (Paris 2023, Austin 2025), achieved global success on Rocket League (Worlds 2023), and secured fourth place at the Esports World Cup 2024.
In her post, the German executive stated that the 2025 EWC will be her final competition under the French organization’s banner. She also announced that she would remain in the esports industry, joining tournament organizer BLAST. The Danish company oversees the entire competitive Rocket League scene, in addition to hosting various tournaments throughout the year on CS2, Dota 2, and PUBG.
"You’ve been a fantastic partner I could always count on"
Having previously worked at G2 Esports for nearly two years as Executive Assistant & League Operations, she joined Team Vitality in November 2021. Initially active as Head of Esports Operations, she was promoted to Director of Esports in February 2023. With this year’s Esports World Cup now underway, she will accompany the French club for one final run lasting nearly two months across eleven different games.
Fabien “Neo” Devide, co-founder and current chairman of Vitality, reacted to her departure on X with the following words: “We all know that 4 years at Vitality felt more like fifteen. Thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and energy. You’ve been a fantastic partner I could always count on, and you made my work easier every single day. Wishing you nothing but the very best for what’s next. Forever a bee.”
