Getting closer to the fans
Riot Games competitions are often held in studios located in Seoul, Los Angeles, or Berlin, but the publisher is increasingly trying to break away from the usual venues by organizing events in various locations to attract larger audiences, since studios can only accommodate around a hundred people. Recently, in the LEC, we saw successful roadshows in Madrid and Paris that drew thousands of fans. Fanbases of certain teams like Karmine Corp, Movistar KOI, and here T1 are highly engaged, and events like these work well—for Riot, the teams, and the fans alike.
