Zest is moving to Brazil
Toplaner Kim "Zest" Dong-min is set to join LOS (formerly LOS Grandes) in the Circuito Desafiante, Brazil’s Tier 2 league, next year, sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. The Korean player, developed within Gen.G Global Academy, will be discovering both a new continent and a new competitive environment by signing with LOS.
Last year, he competed in Europe—first with GameWard, before transferring to the TCL with Bushido Wildcats, where he notably appeared at the EMEA Masters. LOS continues to strengthen its roster through the EMEA ERL talent market, having already signed Jeong "Fesity" Seong-hoon, as previously reported by Sheep Esports.
An ambitious project to be promoted?
The former CBLOL team, active in Brazil’s top league from 2023 to 2024, has been reinforcing its lineup significantly throughout this offseason. After falling into the Brazilian Tier 2 at the beginning of the year, the organization once again has the opportunity to qualify for the promotion tournament and aim for a return to the CBLOL. Last season, the team struggled to break into the top of the Circuito Desafiante, finishing fourth in Split 1 and fifth/sixth in Split 2—results insufficient to secure a spot in the promotion tournament.
In an effort to avoid remaining stuck in the second division, LOS has turned to another high-impact reinforcement. After developing within Gen.G Academy, Zest moved to the TCL in 2024 with Dark Passage, where he competed at the EMEA Masters. Building a strong reputation heading into the offseason, he was recruited by GameWard for the 2025 season. Yet despite Zest’s presence, the project lacked ambition, and collective results fell short of both the team’s expectations and his own.
He returned to the TCL for the Summer Split after Bushido Wildcats paid the buy-out of his contract from GameWard. Back in Turkey, he reached the league final, where his team narrowly lost 2–3 to Misa Esports. He once again participated in the EMEA Masters but was eliminated during the Swiss Stage following a decisive loss to Forsaken. Now, he embraces a new challenge by joining another league and signing with LOS as the team’s second import—signalling a promising and competitive roster for the upcoming year.
