WOLVES decides to speed things up
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Wang “yosemite” Lei has reached a verbal agreement to join Wolves Esports for the 2026 VALORANT VCT China season. He's the second recruit of the Pack after Jordan "jowa", as previously reported by Sheep Esports. With disappointing results this year — despite a good run at the Masters Toronto with a Top 3 finish that no one expected — Wolves has decided to move on to the recruitment phase after allowing some of its players to explore their options.
A staple of China’s top tier, yosemite has competed for FunPlus Phoenix as a Sentinel with Cypher, Killjoy, and Viper as a Controller, following a transfer from Bilibili Gaming. He previously represented KONE Esports Club and Suning during the scene’s formative years. His profile and match history reflect a flexible career through China’s domestic circuit and multiple international appearances, including VALORANT Champions 2023 with BLG.
Background and context
Wolves Esports maintain an established VALORANT program in China, with a staffed roster competing in the regional ecosystem. Public listings show the organization’s current team and coaching unit operating in VCT China. A move for yosemite would reunite Wolves with a player from the same talent pipeline that has intersected with their roster moves over the last two seasons.

yosemite’s transfer to FPX in late 2024 filled a vacancy created by roster changes in the Chinese scene, and he has since logged a full 2025 season across the VCT China schedule and domestic tournaments. For Wolves, securing a verbal commitment from a proven Chinese mainstay would signal an intent to strengthen their core with battle-tested experience from rival top-tier lineups.
For yosemite, the move would offer a fresh context within a familiar region, with continuity in league infrastructure and opponents as VCT CN enters a new season.
