Vladi picks Fnatic, but Karmine Corp need to agree
Midlaner Vladimiros “Vladi” Kourtidis, one of the key dominoes of this offseason, has finally decided on his next destination, sources tell Sheep Esports. His choice came down to Team Vitality and Fnatic, and he ultimately opted for the latter. However, Fnatic and Karmine Corp still need to agree on a buyout fee for the transfer to go through.
Karmine Corp still has Vladi under contract until the end of 2027, despite looking to replace him with a South Korean midlaner. This means Fnatic will need to negotiate a buyout to complete the transfer. If Karmine Corp decides not to sell, the Greek mid laner could be forced to consider other options or remain on the bench of the French organization.
Will Fnatic and Karmine Corp find a buyout agreement?
A long offseason
Several teams expressed interest in Vladi throughout the offseason, including Team Heretics, Team Vitality, GIANTX, Natus Vincere, and Fnatic. GIANTX withdrew early after inquiring about the buyout price, while Team Heretics ultimately decided to sign midlaner Tolga “Serin” Ölmez instead.
NAVI remained in contention for much longer but ultimately fell short, finishing as Vladi’s third option. A few LCS teams also explored the possibility of signing him, though their interest never advanced beyond preliminary consideration.
The offseason for both Vladi and Fnatic has been very long so far. Now that an agreement has been found with both parties, the only remaining task is to set the buyout price with Karmine Corp.
Poby exploring alternatives
Should Vladi’s move to Fnatic be finalized, Poby will need to find a new team. Already aware of this possibility, the mid laner has been exploring options elsewhere. There is a strong chance that Poby remains in the LEC next year, as both Team Vitality and NAVI have expressed interest in him.
Fnatic is still finalizing its roster
Fnatic’s offseason strategy includes several possible roster scenarios, depending on which players the organization can secure. While the team’s priorities are now clear, the final lineup remains uncertain, with all positions yet to be fully locked in for next season.
That said, it’s still too early for Fnatic fans to be concerned — numerous viable options remain on the market, including several of the players the team initially targeted at the start of the offseason.
