After shining with Sentinels, Zellsis reunites with Cloud9 ahead of the 2026 VCT season
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro has reached a verbal agreement with Cloud9 for the 2026 VCT Americas season. This operation marks the beginning of the offseason for the American organization, as it's the first roster change the team has made. The move also reunites Zellsis with Cloud9, where he previously played from October 2022 to September 2023.
The American player joins Cloud9 after spending two years with Sentinels, where he became one of the team’s most consistent and impactful flex players. Since joining in September 2023, he helped the roster secure several strong finishes, including victories at VALORANT Masters Madrid and the Americas Kickoff in 2024. Sentinels also placed 4th at Champions 2024, 2nd at both the Americas Kickoff and Stage 1 in 2025, 5th–6th at Masters Toronto, 5th–8th at the Esports World Cup 2025, and 3rd in the Americas Stage 2 this year.
Slow-cooked
Cloud9’s 2025 campaign was a slow burn. The team placed 9th–12th at Kickoff, showed progress in Stage 1 by finishing 8th, and continued to improve to reach 4th in the Americas Stage 2. However, despite the gradual growth, they failed to qualify for any international events — missing out on Masters Bangkok, Masters Toronto, and Champions Paris.
With Zellsis' return, Cloud9 aims to reclaim a spot among the top teams in the Americas region and establish a consistent presence at international events. Mitch "mitch" Semago, the team’s previous In-Game Leader, was released today to explore opportunities with other organizations for the upcoming season.
Although the full roster for the upcoming season hasn't been confirmed yet, all signs point to Victor "v1c" Truong, Francis "OXY" Huang, and Erick "Xeppaa" Bach remaining in the roster.
