yoman won two tournaments alongside Gen.G in 2024
Korean player Chae "yoman" Young-mun has reached a verbal agreement to join Global Esports for the VCT Pacific. At 28 years old, this marks his second stint in the S-Tier league, having already played a few months with Gen.G. Yoman has been without a team since the beginning of 2025.
He previously competed in the Korean VCL 2023 season with Shadow Corporation before moving to China's B-Tier scene, where he joined Rare Atom. Despite solid performances, he and his team were consistently outmatched by the dominant EDward Gaming. In 2024, he returned to the Korean circuit, representing Nongshim RedForce in both splits of the VCL.
First time in VCT but already played with Gen.G
Later in the year, yoman joined Gen.G for several side tournaments, teaming up with Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom. They first won the Asia Invitational, followed by a strong showing at the Gwangju Esports Series Asia 2024. There, Gen.G and T1 represented Korea in a series of showmatches against EDG and Trace Esports—yoman won all of his matches. He wrapped up the year with a runner-up finish at another invitational tournament in December.
After starting 2025 as a free agent, yoman is now set to make his S-Tier debut with Global Esports, who finished second-to-last in the first split of VCT Pacific. The goal is clear: improve results in the second split, kicking off this July.
