A long-term core and redefined hierarchy for CGN
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, CGN Esports has reached long-term agreements with Vincent "Vince" Kranz and Berkant "Wolfen" Joshkun running until the end of 2027, with Vince set to assume in-game leadership duties and Wolfen to serve as team captain. Both players are expected to remain with the main CGN lineup in VALORANT Challengers DACH: Evolution and on the EMEA circuit, rebuilding around those two players.
Vince has been part of the CGN structure since he joined CGN Youngstars and has represented the organization’s main roster since late 2023, progressing through multiple iterations of the DACH Evolution league and the 2024 Champions Tour EMEA: Ascension run. Recently, he has primarily operated on Controller agents such as Omen and Astra.
Wolfen, by contrast, joined CGN at the start of 2025 after stints with KOI, Keep Best Gaming, and Case Esports, bringing international and tier one experience from the VCT circuit and previous Spanish titles. He has recently been on Cypher and Viper, anchoring sites while still contributing consistent damage and opening duels.
A 2025 campaign that consolidated CGN in DACH
The decision to lock in Vince and Wolfen follows a 2025 season in which CGN lifted the DACH Evolution Split 2 title, finished second in the Split 1 playoffs, and placed 5th–6th in the Split 3 playoffs, securing enough circuit results to remain a consistent presence in the upper half of the regional standings. In parallel, the team reached the group stage in both Challengers 2025: EMEA Stage 1 and Stage 2, placing between 5th and 8th on each occasion against opposition drawn from the top domestic leagues across the region.
Most recently, CGN secured a first-place finish in the Monsters Reloaded 2025: EMEA Qualifier and a top two at the Monsters Reloaded 2025 main event, after defeating the new VCT Gentle Mates roster and contesting a five-map grand final against FUT Esports 2-3. They also participated in THE POKAL 2025, where CGN topped their group with a clean 4–0 record, taking series wins over opponents such as Eintracht Frankfurt, VCGN Kaltstart, and Coffeshop.
By moving Vince into the IGL role and formalising Wolfen as captain, CGN’s staff intend to reconstruct the project around these two players and structure their next three competitive years around an already proven regional core.
