JessieVash might come back
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Team Secret is expected to part ways with Sha "ZesBeeW" Mohtar ahead of the 2026 VCT Pacific season. The Filipino-European organization is reportedly already trialing potential replacements, including Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco, a former active player of the roster who is currently serving as a streamer for the club.
After a particularly challenging year on VALORANT, Team Secret seems determined to shake things up right from the start of the transfer window. The team placed between 9th and 12th at the Kickoff, followed by an 11th to 12th place finish in Stage 1, and ended Stage 2 in the 9th to 10th range.
A project under reconstruction
Nothing appeared to click for them in 2025. This disappointing run pushed the organization to make three roster moves between the two splits, involving names such as Jeremy "Jremy" Cabrera and JessieVash, two long-standing figures within the squad, who had originally joined back in February 2022 and September 2021 respectively.
JessieVash is now once again undergoing trials with Team Secret, partly because his contract still runs until the end of 2026, according to the Global Contract Database. These tryouts are specifically for the In-Game Leader role held by ZesBeeW, who had only joined the organization midway through the year between the two Stages.
Maybe more changes
The Singaporean player was, however, one of four members of Team Secret tied to long-term deals running until the end of 2028, alongside three of his teammates. Such lengthy agreements are almost unheard of in the VCT Pacific, with Team Secret standing out as the only organization to commit to this practice so far, apart from a single similar contract elsewhere in the league.
Our sources also indicate that other positions on the roster could be under review. Just like the captaincy role, rebuilding a project and testing new pieces is a delicate and time-consuming process, one that is unlikely to be resolved overnight.
