T1 parts ways with its staff
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Yoon "Autumn" Eu-teum, Seol "indigo" Do-hoon, and Lee "CheongGak" Il-ho have been released by T1 ahead of the 2026 VCT Pacific season. The South Korean organization has decided to part ways with its coaching staff after a year that started off brilliantly with a victory at Masters Bangkok. For Autumn, T1 chose not to renew his contract, while both assistant coaches completed theirs following a mutual agreement with the organization.
Head coach of the project since May 2022, Autumn has been part of T1’s entire VALORANT Champions Tour journey, with 2025 standing out as his most successful year, highlighted by the international LAN title in Thailand. At the end of 2024, he was joined by indigo and CheongGak, whose time with the team now also comes to an end following Champions Paris 2025.
An Almost Perfect Start
After a strong offseason that included a win at Red Bull Home Ground #5, T1 kicked off its 2025 campaign almost perfectly. Finishing second at the Kickoff event behind DRX, the team secured its spot for the first Masters of the season. In Bangkok, the South Korean roster began with a loss to Team Vitality but bounced back with victories over Trace Esports and DRX to advance to the playoffs. Following a loss to EDward Gaming in the upper bracket semifinals, T1 mounted an impressive lower bracket run, taking revenge on Vitality, then defeating EDG, before closing the tournament with a 3–2 victory over G2 Esports in the grand final.
Returning to Seoul for the regular season, T1 struggled to maintain its momentum, finishing Stage 1 in 7th–8th place and missing out on qualification for the Esports World Cup. The team managed to bounce back in the second split, finishing fourth and securing a spot at Champions Paris 2025 after missing out on Seoul the previous year. Placed in a difficult group alongside G2 Esports, Team Heretics, and Dragon Ranger Gaming, T1 was unable to advance to the playoffs and ended its season in third place within Group D.
